Hey friends! I got lots of questions this week about what to do and where to eat in Park City during the winter/ski season. So I am rounding up our favorite restaurants + activities besides skiing.
We used to ski Deer Valley, but now since we have moved to Park City full-time, we live closer to Park City Mountain Resort and ski there. The Canyons is another option… the boys say they don’t like the runs as much at the Canyons, and for me, I am not a fan of the restaurants over there. I feel bad typing that because it is still gorgeous, just wanted to give our honest opinion! Also, if you have kids, we feel the Deer Valley ski school is hands down the most organized and you get to drop off inside.
Park City Restaurant Favorites
Breakfast / Brunch / Lunch
Harvest – This is a tiny little place on Main and my favorite lunch spot, I almost go every day!
Deer Valley Cafe – The view is gorgeous here and a great option for a quick breakfast/brunch.
Skier’s lunch buffet at The Stein Lodge is a must. You can ski up or just go in regular clothes and drive there. They are also famous for their Sunday brunch.
five5eeds – Little dive not on Main Street, but a healthy lunch option and SOOO good.
The Bridge – All day breakfast spot, plus they have a patio!
Squatters – Great casual breakfast spot.
Vessel Kitchen – A counter-serve style cafe with lots of healthy seasonal meals.
Zupus – A casual lunch spot… I love their soups and salads.
Twisted Fern – This is a SUPER cute place for lunch.
Murdocks – BEST hot chocolate at the base of the canyons. The boys LOVE it, especially after a ski day.
Kuchu Shabu – This is another favorite at the base of the canyons after a ski day.
If you are skiing Deer Valley, any of the lodges you ski up to have great food! Definitely try the famous Deer Valley Chili!
Dinner
Fireside Dining – All meals are cooked over open fire & such a fun experience. Open in the winter months only.
Grappa – Italian on Main street… gorgeous and great food, however I like it best in the summer because of the amazing patio.
Shabu on Main – Great sushi and one of our favorite date nights!
Silver Star – This place is a hidden gem, and it’s owned by Park City locals.
Hearth & Hill – This is a stylish family-run restaurant serving modern American and global food, plus lots of vegan options.
Yuki Yami Sushi – Another great sushi spot.
Handle – Small plates with fun cocktails.
Versante – At the Peaks Hotel, they have great Italian food.
Szechwan – Best Chinese take out.
Best Places to Get Drinks in Park City
St. Regis
Montage
Stein Lodge – Gorgeous views
The Spur Bar and Grill – 21 and up
Boneyard Saloon – 21 and up, good parking
Things to Do Besides Skiing
Park City Library – If you saw my stories, the library is one of our favorite places to go for some down time. Besides having a 3d printer, virtual reality video games, and an amazing children’s book section, they have a cafe attached and right outside there is sledding + you can rent a sled!
Sledding – Sledding behind the Park City middle school is a local’s secret. If you have your own sled, head there. Shhh don’t say I told you 🙂
Rock Climbing/Snow Shoeing – Swaner Nature Preserve. You can do both here + other neat activities.
Snowmobile Tour – SOOO fun. You must try it. We have done it once and used North Forty.
Woodward – I love dropping the boys off here! It’s a forested mountain complex offering skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Plus it has a large indoor tumbling area. It’s open year-round too.
Daly’s at the Montage – They have an arcade and bowling, so it’s fun for kids! You don’t have to stay there to go, you can make a reservation.
Park City Ice Area – They have free skating and an awesome sledding area in the front.
Ice Castles – This place is amazing! It opens after the holidays, sometime in mid-January, so it’s a great thing to do during the second half of winter.
If you have kids and are looking for some snow toys, my boys love these (here, here , here & here)
Where to Stay in Park City
If you are looking for ski in and ski out options:
You can stay at our condo too! If you didn’t know, we rent it out. It’s only 5 minutes to Deer Crest Gondola!
Marriott on Main Street is perfect for those who love to shop.
Peaks Hotel – This is a great central location and one of our favorite restaurants, Versante, is part of the hotel.
Hope this helps! As always, email or DM me if you have any questions!!
xo, Jaime
