Okay so you may already know, but I go my eyebrows micro-bladed last week at Renew Beauty Med Spa (located at Northpark for those of you that live in Dallas) . I have been wanting to do this for months! First off, as of like 8 months ago I never did anything but tweeze my brows (never waxed and I always tweezed too much) I started realizing that thicker eyebrows were more flattering, so I begun the process of growing them out. There was lots of filling in with pencils and powders. I kept thinking that eventually they would grow completely in and I wouldn’t have to do that as much. Well, they did get thicker but only in certain areas, so I was still having to fill them in everyday. What was worse was the fact that their shape was drastically different. That whole saying your eyebrows are not supposed to be twins but more like sisters.. well mine weren’t even related! Needless to say, I welcomed the idea of micro-blading.
A little bit more about micro-blading – – When I first got there, Summer and I drew in my eyebrows with a pencil to determine shape, thickness and color. She is really good at what she does, so you don’t need to know what you want – she will give you the best and most natural shape and thickness for your face. Once we were happy with the way they were drawn, she put the numbing cream on (I didn’t feel anything!!!) and then about 10 min later she started! I was scared it was going to hurt, but I seriously didn’t feel a thing. She goes in with a little tool (tiny needle tip) and basically draws in your eyebrows to look like actual hair. Imagine a temporary tattoo .. it lasts up to a year to a year and a half. That was another selling point! I didn’t want anything permanent! They will be super dark for about the first 10 days (I am still in that period) but they will lighten up about 40% she said. Then, you go back 6 weeks later for a follow-up to touch up any holes etc. If you are considering this.. DO IT! I promise you won’t be disappointed. And if you are in Dallas, have Summer Westin do your eyebrows!
Hope you have a great day!!
xo, Jaime
