The Texas State Fair is something I think everyone should experience at least once. We try to go every year when the fair comes around. The boys love it! I mean, fried food, candy, rides, games… it’s the boys’ dream playground ????. No surprise that they had a blast this year. We ate got the funnel cake, nachos, Fletcher’s corny dogs and we got Zander a big stick of cotton candy. It was nearly the size of him! We went on a Thursday so the boys still had school the next day. We knew what we were getting ourselves into with all the sugar-filled foods and adrenaline-rushed rides. I figured it’s a once a year thing, so why not? It was worth it because no surprise, the boys had an absolute blast. Their favorite was the funnel cake!
Chevy has a huge presence at the fair and I mentioned on stories last week that they gave us a truck for the week. I thought it was so cool because my dad has the same truck so we’ve always loved and have been fans of the Silverado. My dad is a huge handyman person. This past summer, with some help from Ely, they built a DIY slip and slide ramp in our backyard. The truck is big and spacious so it really came in handy when it came to transporting all the wood and materials in the bed of the truck and I didn’t have to get the inside of my SUV dirty. Plus, the boys love riding it. They will happily drive around with us to go on errands and it makes the trips to get donuts on the weekend even more exciting for them. You can see all of their models here.
Have you guys experienced the Texas State Fair yet? What’s your favorite thing about it – the food, rides or games? If you asked the boys, it would be all of the above!
xo, Jaime
