Fynn and Zander had their spring break last week so we planned a beach trip to go visit my parents and spend some time in San Antonio, then drive to Palmilla Beach Resort along the way. We usually stay at Cinnamon Shore but Palmilla Beach is a new development we wanted to try out. It was a bittersweet trip being that this is probably our last time to come to Port Aransas. We are all ( including my parents ) moving to Park City so new adventures ahead 🤗 & other beaches to explore ! I grew up coming down here though so will always have fond memories 🤍

For those looking for a fun beach getaway in Texas this summer, I will share my experience staying at both Palmilla Beach and Cinnamon Shore so it can hopefully help make your decision a little bit easier. For my Florida friends or anyone looking to vacay in FL, I highly recommend Bungalows Key Largo!!
Palmilla Beach Resort vs Cinnamon Shore
THE DIFFERENCES:
Everything at Palmilla is brand new including the rentals. Our house is amazing and the inside is gorgeous (walkthrough video below). I like that the rentals at Palmilla feels more spaced out. However with that, there’s still a lot of construction going on at the Palmilla Beach property so it’s definitely not as pretty. As of right now, Cinnamon Shore is a prettier property overall, but with time, Palmilla will become that. Other differences I noticed is that Palmilla only has one pool (it’s huge though) and they don’t have the pretty lakes and ponds that Cinnamon Shore has.

THE SIMILARITIES:
This part will be short as everything else is very similar. Both resorts have the boardwalk to the beach that you can drive on with the golf carts and overall family-friendly.

Best Restaurants in Port Aransas
As far as food goes, Lisabella’s is always a fav for dinner. It’s actually on the Cinnamon Shores property and you don’t have to be staying at that property to dine there. Same goes for the restaurants on the Palmilla Beach property. We tried Blue Marlin for the first time and it was great!!

My wife and I are looking at taking our kids to stay at Cinnamon Shores this coming spring break. Our kids are 8 and 4. Is cinnamon shores family friendly during spring break or is it the drunk college scene? Trying to find a nice family friendly place. Thanks!
