Tassel Mini Dress // Sandals // Bag
We aren’t huge Valentine’s Day people, but this year, Mark and I took a trip to Mexico to stay at a beach resort for four days. We actually came here ten years ago, but it was a completely different trip. I didn’t tell many people at the time, but I had a miscarriage right after I stopped breastfeeding Ely. I nursed him for a year and right when I stopped, we took the trip here. I remember just having found out I was pregnant and then I had the miscarriage. We had to go to the emergency room here in Mexico. Looking back, I barely remember staying here or anything about the resort. It was honestly just all a blur. I just remember wanting to go home so now a decade later, it’s great to be back here now. The resort was so beautiful and our trip was everything we wanted!

The entire resort is connected, but there is a separate kids and adults section. There are a ton of kid-friendly activities for them to do so we want to come back here with the boys. It would be pricey to stay for a week’s time so we are thinking of doing another long weekend trip in the next year or two.

I know coordinating outfits to pack can be time-consuming so to help give ideas, I’m sharing my beach outfits I wore in Mexico. From swimsuits to wear on the beach, breakfast/dinner looks to coverups you can wear in between, I rounded up everything below including where we stayed.

Our Stay at Rosewood Mayakoba Mexico Resort
Here is the link to the exact room that we stayed in. The website shows all of its amenities. The room was really nice and the little pathway to the beach was so cute and tropical. Perfect for what someone would expect from a stay at a beach resort. Shared a quick video of our room and the outside!
Outfit Recap: Swimsuits & Coverups for a Beach Vacation
Knit Swimwear Coverup // Leopard Swimsuit // Straw Crossbody Bag // Pearl Strap
I have this long crochet coverup dress in both white and cream. Cant say which one I like better because they are both so cute. The shade I’m wearing above, the website makes it look more yellow but it’s more of an off white/cream. It’s a great color! The white version is shown below. It has been selling out really quickly every time it gets restocked so if by the time you check and it’s sold out, I would check back for restocks!
The straw crossbody is also an Amazon find. It has a removable strap so you can carry it as a clutch. I removed the strap and found these pearl straps on Amazon (comes in a pack of three) and replaced it.
Swimsuit Top & Similar Bottoms // Knit Swimwear Coverup // Sandals
For the swimsuit I’m wearing underneath, I wore this top with a different set of bottoms. Here is this Amazon set that has similar styled high waisted bottoms.
Swimsuit Top & Similar Bottoms // Coverup // Large Link Gold Necklace // Large Gold Link Bracelet // Gold Beaded Bracelets // Single Beaded Bracelet
Black One Piece Swimsuit // Leopard Print Maxi Skirt // Straw Fedora // Coin Necklace // Large Gold Link Bracelet // Gold Beaded Bracelets // Single Beaded Bracelet
Blue Striped Swimsuit // Button Front Coverup // Coin Necklace // Large Gold Link Bracelet // Gold Beaded Bracelets // Single Beaded Bracelet
I ordered so many of these Amazon swimsuits. They have removable padding and the tie front swimsuits have the option of untying the front and wearing it without being knotted which is nice because you have two ways you could wear it!
