Last week I shared my homemade spaghetti with meat sauce recipe that Fynn requested for one of his birthday week dinners. This week, my best friend Andrea sent me her version of the spaghetti with meat sauce. It’s one to try out because she cooks everything in the instant pot, even the spaghetti! It’s a totally hassle-free recipe. You can also add a side of mixed shredded carrots and zucchini as I did. I got mine from Trader Joe’s!
Speaking of, I had to make two extra stops to the store yesterday. After thinking I had everything I needed the first time, I realized I forgot the sauce for this recipe. Came home the second time to realize I forgot the meat! I can’t…. anyone have a record-breaking amount of trips to the grocery store in one day? Please share!

- Set pot to saute. When it says hot, spray with olive oil spray and throw in beef and cook up adding onion and garlic powder to taste.
- Once finished cooking, turn off pot and add pasta. The key to this recipe is breaking up the pasta into 1/3's. I have done it without breaking it up and it doesn't cook as well.
- Then add 1 jar of pasta sauce and then fill jar with water and add that.
- Close the pot, turn to sealing, and press manual button. You will set it for 10 minutes.
- Once done release pressure, open pot, and stir.
- Optional: I like to add mozzarella cheese on top after it's done cooking and set the top back on so it can melt the cheese. I also like to mix shredded carrots with zucchini to add on the side. Both are from Trader Joe's!
