My best friend Andrea makes the BEST margaritas. She shared this recipe the other day so I knew I had to try this one out. Only ingredients you need are: salt, limes, cointreau, margarita mix and a tequila of your choice.
We use Patron Silver or Casamigos (my personal favorite). For the margarita mix, we love the one from Trader Joe’s. A lot of margarita mixes can have a lot of calories but the TJ’s one only has 45 calories in every 2 ounces which is all you need for this margarita recipe.
Note: her instructions included 3/4 of cointreau, but I went with 1/2 so you can gauge that amount to your preference. Also optional is adding sparkling water and a lime. I added just a bit of Topochico because that’s all we have at home at the moment and added a lime. Let me know how you guys like it!
