How was everyone’s holiday break? Our family had an incredible time together in Park City. By thew way, I put together a travel guide of my favorite restaurants and activities – here. It’s always a strange transition coming home from a trip and getting back into the swing of things. However, I’m really proud of myself because I was ready to go this weekend and cleaned out the boy’s playroom. We ended up with about four large trash bags that we’re donating. After the new year, does anyone else want to just do a huge closet purge? Maybe cleaning out the boys’ playroom inspired me, but I want to clean out my closet and more or less get rid of a lot of things I probably don’t need/will never wear.
Anywho! I took a poll on my Instagram story and asked what you guys want to see more of now that the holidays are over. Spring items or more winter wear? It was pretty dead even, so… I thought what better to give you guys the best of both and cover items that you can transition into spring with! Think winter wear, but with splashes of pastel colors and fun prints.
First off, transitioning into spring = layers, layers, layers! I love this Madewell cardigan. It comes in different solid shades and different color block color combos, but they just added a new color that is totally spring-esque.
Perfect layering cardigans:
For the bottoms, a distressed denim with hem distressing is the way to go. Also since we’re talking about transitioning into spring, I would opt for lighter shades or white denim for a brighter, fresh look.
Distressed denim:
Now down to the shoes. Three words: slip-ons & sneakers! But don’t put away your over the knee boots and booties just yet because you can definitely rock those in your transitional spring outfits. The Stuart Weitzman OTK boots are my all-time favorite. They’re pricey, but I can attest that they live up to the hype and worth the investment.
Slip-ons & sneakers:
Hope you guys have a wonderful day!
