5 Sweater Dress // Tunic Ideas for Fall

Happy Wednesday! Sweater dresses can be tricky because they seem to either be too short or just boxy and unflattering. It really all depends on your height and the way you want it to fit on you. I’m starting to think the key is to find one that has a figure flattering fit but size up one or two sizes so it’s not too short or tight. I’m still trying to figure it out myself. To hopefully make it a little easier and to give you a starting point in your search for the perfect sweater dress, I’m sharing my top 5 sweater dresses and tunics to wear for fall that you’ll love! When I saw my fav sweater dress from last year was back I immediately snatched it up! I was only able to get the fuchsia color last year because all the other colors sold out so fast. I love it because you don’t have to size up, the length and fit is perfect & the material is chunky but not itchy. I actually had to size down one to an XS. All sizes are in stock right now.

Quick Tip for Styling Sweater Dresses

For loose, less form-fitting dresses/tunics… belt it at the waist! It brings out your figure and it’s an easy way to make an outfit look more flattering. You can play around with different belt styles. Here are a few I love:

Not only can this be styled as a travel outfit because it’s so comfy, you can dress it up for a date night look or wear it for any casual occasion. I found that it runs slightly large so I ordered the xs and loved the way it fit. The v-neck cut is flattering and hits just right to where it isn’t revealing. I also cuffed the sleeves as I didn’t want it to look all bunched up. It also comes in two other colors that are so spot on for fall – an olive green and rust. So cute!

This sweater dress sold out so fast the last time I posted it and so excited to see that it is back in stock and available Amazon prime! Amazon quality can be iffy, but the material on this is thick and not scratchy. You can definitely wear this for fall and take it into winter as well. It’s such a unique, fun style. The puff sleeves, fitted through the body and the turtleneck – love it all. Not to mention, it’s super affordable!

Cutest Amazon Prime sweater dress there ever was. The tie front waist makes it extra flattering! I love that it fits loose and not skin tight but you can still tie it tighter to accentuate the waist if you wish. I am wearing a S here.
