I’m counting down the top 5 women’s fashion trends for Fall 2019 (not in any particular order). I also touched on affordable fall home decor yesterday so you can say that I’m in major fall mode. I also did my research to which colors will be popular this year and included the six colors for fall I am loving below as well – enjoy!
1. Plaid Blazers
Outfit Details: Blazer (us4) // Leggings // Shoes // Bag
This plaid blazer was one of my favorite NSale purchases from this year. I’ve been on the hunt for one for awhile but never found one I liked that fit the way I wanted to. After trying it on the store, I knew it would become a fall staple piece for me. I love that it can be worn for work or out. I went with a US4 and I’m showing two ways you could style it for fall. Another way you could wear it is with jeans. It seems like a lot of people are already finding their plaid blazer for fall because the ones I had in my top picks are sold out or only have a few sizes left. I linked more options that are still in stock below.

2. Ruched / Ruffled Sleeves
Outfit Details: Top // Pants // Bracelet // Shoes // Bag
I’ll take all of the ruched and puff sleeve tops please! It’s a big trend for fall. I noticed that some of the styles lean away from everyday casual which makes for a cute date night option or even for the office too. The grey top I’m wearing below leans more casual because of the t-shirt material which I love. Perfect for running errands, going to the store, etc.

3. Moto Jackets
Outfit Details: Top // Jacket (small) // Jeans // Shoes // Bag // Sunglasses
BLANKNYC makes some of my favorite moto jackets for fall. I have this suede jacket in multiple colors and the quality is amazing. The ones I’m showing are in “coffee bean” and “white sand”. It’s a versatile and stylish layering piece – one you can easily dress up or down. Showing how I styled it casual (top) and dressed up for an occasion like date night (below). If you’re planning on layering with sweaters and thicker materials tops, I recommend sizing up one for extra room. Otherwise, it fits true to size.

4. Tie / Wrap Front Details
Outfit Details: Top (small) // Pants // Shoes // Bag // Necklace
Tie front and wrap tops started being popular in late spring and will continue into fall. You can expect to see sweater versions, long sleeve silk blouses, tie front sweatshirts and dresses as well.

5. Animal Print
Outfit Details: Cardigan (small) // Top // Pants // Hat (similar) // Sunglasses // Bag // Shoes
Animal print is hands down a fall fashion must have! Whether it’s in the form of a sweater, blouse, shoes, bag, belt… you name it – it’s everywhere this fall. There are so many great prints to choose from but I tend to gravitate towards leopard and snake/python print. Because you can find the print on almost every type of garment right now, the styling possibilities are actually endless. You can wear animal print as the focus piece of your outfit for example, a long cardigan or sweater dress. Or, you can incorporate animal print as an accent piece such as a belt or a pair of booties or mules. Speaking of, mules are a great transitional shoe for fall. I rounded up the best mules in this blog post.

Another trend I am looking forward to for fall this year is the midi skirt. Feel free to check out this blog post to read more and to see styling inspiration. Which is your favorite trend or color for fall this year? You can also see more of this year’s autumn/winter colors on Pantone’s website. Hope you guys have a great day and happy early fall shopping!!
