Today’s post is all about my favorite pieces from my sweet friends, Tara Gibson and Roselyn Weaver (click the link to their Gibson blog posts!) x Gibson City Safari collection and how to style them! For details on my pieces, it’s all in this blog post. Before I start, I wanted to just take a second to thank you guys for the outpour of support we’ve been receiving. Y’all are AMAZING! I truly can’t wait to see how you guys add your own flair to these pieces. Shooting with Roselyn and Tara was a ton of fun and they have some really stunning pieces that I’m so excited to share with you.

**A Note On Sizing: I have found that Gibson runs slightly big in my experience. I sized down one from my usual size and wearing an extra small in all pieces. For reference, I am just under 5’7″. Plus sizes are available in select styles. I’ll mention which ones and link them each below!

The Tara Gibson Python Pleated Popover Dress
This dress is so much fun and I am in love with the python print. It’s hard to tell in the styled photos, but it’s pleated throughout which gives it a playful silhouette that makes you want to just twirl in. I love that you can wear this dress right now with sandals and transition it into fall by wearing a denim jacket or long cardigan over it with knee high or over the knee boots. A few other details to note: it’s fully lined so you don’t need to worry about wearing an additional slip underneath and the straps are adjustable.

The Roselyn Weaver A-Line Midi Skirt
Guys, meet your new go-to midi skirt. It’s a classic staple to have for all occasions. On one hand, you can dress it down with sneakers and a graphic tee. On another, you can make it totally work appropriate with another one of Roselyn’s pieces – this top. I’ll go in more detail about the top piece below. Another option you could wear it with is my Animal Print Long Sleeve Blouse from the collection. The styling options are truly endless with this one – a must-have!

The Tara Gibson Tie Neck Satin Dress
I mentioned in my previous post that the City Safari collection has so many good pieces that can take you directly from the work day straight to the weekend or happy hour. This is definitely one of them! It’s also good for fall weddings and date night.
Since animal print is such a hot topic for fall, we are seeing a lot of leopard, snake, cheetah, etc. but I love that this comes in a golden giraffe print which you don’t see as often. I’m equally obsessed with both of them. It has an elastic waist but also a tie option so it’s really flattering to your figure. For a casual look, I styled this with my Golden Goose sneakers but you can wear this with sandals or booties as well.

I love the pattern mixing going on with the floral and animal print. The high neck is my favorite feature and it comes in that same python print that I love so much along with another great colorway for fall.
You can wear this fully tucked or front tucked with jeans or leave it untucked with a mini skirt. I’ve been repeatedly wearing this suede mini skirt!

The Roselyn Weaver Split Neck Lace Trim Top
Here is the Roselyn top I mentioned earlier. You can wear it casual or pair it with slacks or the midi skirt for a work appropriate outfit. The lace scalloped details on the sleeves add a nice feminine touch to an easy to wear top. It comes in four other solid colors and any of the colorways would make a great addition as a closet staple.
