Happy Thursday friends! Today I’m bringing you the latest outfits from my Instagram ( just click on the image below each photo to shop) along with my weekly workout routine and diet. It’s nothing mind blowing and not that exciting, however I do receive questions and would love to share it with you guys! I’ll start with my workout routine. I used to work out more, but I’ve gotten so busy within the last 6 months that I have actually cut a day and some weeks 2 days out.
Monday’s – I hit the gym for about 45 min. I run on the treadmill for 20 min with Pandora’s Today’s Hits Radio blasting in my ears (probably will have permanent hearing loss from this) but it’s the only way I can push myself! Then I spend the remaining time doing weights ( legs only ).
Tuesday and Wednesday – Nada!
Thursday – Spin Day! Not sure if you saw it on my Instagram Stories last week but I have been taking spin at Zyn22 for over a year now. I usually hate/dread workouts but this class is awesome! Imagine being in a nightclub but getting a great workout while doing so. It’s a 45 min class and you do arm weights while riding your bike AND you only focus on yourself because it’s too dark to see anyone but the instructor (love that part!) I highly recommend it!
Friday – Tennis Friday as I call it. Most of you know this but I grew up playing tennis so I will jump at the chance to play. If I could play everyday I would, but that’s the problem.. it’s addicting so I have to limit my play to once or twice a week or nothing else would get done! I try to have most of my work done by Fridays so I can spend 1.5 hours on the court.
Saturday or Sunday – Usually Mark and I will try attend a tennis clinic. The weather has been bad lately and the boys have had soccer and or basketball games so we’ve gotten out of this routine. Hoping once it warms up we can do this more!
What I eat.
This is where it gets really boring! I eat the same thing for breakfast and almost the same thing for lunch everyday! Ha! For me the key to eating is simply watching portion control. I did cut out sweets during the week a few months back and have done a great job sticking to that. I would much rather binge on fries than chocolate, so for me it wasn’t terribly hard to cut those out. On the weekends when I splurge it’s on McDonalds for example instead of sweets. Even though I don’t eat as healthy on the weekends, I still try to stay mindful of my portions.
Breakfast – 2 eggs, cinnamon raisin ezekiel bread ( in the frozen bread section at your local grocery store), and tonsss of coffee. I use this creamer to lesson the calorie situation.
Snack -Yogurt with granola
Lunch – Annie’s bean and cheese burrito ( I get the dairy and gluten free because it’s low in calories – you can also find these in the frozen section) and half or a whole avocado. I will alternate in Chipotle because well.. I could eat Chipotle every day of the week. Chicken bowl, brown rice, black beans, corn, a tiny drop of sour cream, and lettuce. Also, during cold weather months I have an awesome chili I make and will eat for days – you can find it here
Snack – Usually a Cliff Bar or some type of bar, but there are days when I finish my entire chipotle bowl and I don’t feel hungry until dinner 🙂
Dinner – I try to mix it up . I’ve collected recipes over the years and have quite a few ( a lot) that I alternate between. It’s not always super healthy so I just make sure not to over eat. It would surprise most people the amount of food I am able inhale in one sitting so I try to watch my servings. No, I don’t measure things out and never will ( ugh the thought!) but over time I have figured out the right amount of food where I know I’m not stuffing my face.
I’ve included some of my favorite go-to recipes below!
Have a great day!
xo, Jaime
