If you visit my Instagram or blog as a source for day to day outfit inspiration, you know I love to mix affordable fashion with higher-end investment pieces. Whether you are a first time buyer or already own one yourself and thinking about getting another color, I wanted to write my full review for anyone who might have any questions. Much like my Golden Goose sneaker review, I will be going over the GG leather belt sizing and my favorite Gucci retailers along with other info I think would be helpful in the buying process.
Are Gucci Belts Worth the Price?
Considering how often I wear mine and how you can easily style it with so many different pieces, my answer is yes! While I have never been a huge fan of designer items that show their logo front and center, the Gucci belts are an exception for me. The GG leather belts are classic and have become a closet staple for me. If you take a look at any of my outfits in this post, picture it without the belt. It just looks incomplete. Adding the belt really helps elevate and pull the entire outfit together!
Gucci Belt Sizing
Gucci belts are measured by centimeters from the end of the buckle to the center hole. I am a 26 in most of my jeans and jean shorts and have a size 80 in the black, brown and white, and a size 85 in the dusty pink. I went up a size in the dusty pink slim belt because I wanted to wear it with some lower waisted shorts. However, I ended up needing to get holes punched in it so could have gone with the 80.
If you are a size 25/26 in jeans a size 80 is a good choice because it gives you the flexibility to wear it cinched at the waist or with low rise jeans. It may run a little large but you can always get a few holes put in versus if it was too small and having to wear it on the first hole which doesn’t look very good.

What Color & Belt Width Should You Buy?
This is really all about your own personal preference, but I will say that I get the most wear out of my white belt. I tend to wear a lot of lighter shades so I find the white compliments what I normally wear on a daily basis more so than the black or brown. My suggestion is to take a look into your closet and see what colors you wear the most.
As for the width, I own the GG leather belt in two different widths. The wider belt has a considerably larger logo and is 4cm wide versus the skinny version is just a bit over 2cm. I like the wider Gucci belt to wear as a statement piece, but if you are looking for something more subtle, the skinny belt is a great choice.
What to Wear with Gucci Belts
You can truly wear this belt dressed up or down. Whether you want to wear it belted with a dress, a skirt, jeans, shorts, wide leg pants, you have so many options! Here is a roundup of a few more outfits I’ve styled with my GG belts to give you ideas of the variety of looks you can create.

I love the way you’re straight to the important points and show us examples thru photos. Short and simple. Now I have a more personal question. I’m a woman of a mature age (60 +) who still dress fashionable yet appropriate. I’ve been eyeing and wanting a Gucci belt about 4 years now. Almost to the point of purchasing. I am slim like yourself but due to age my stomach is no longer nice and flat like yours. I do have a small gut. That’s the one thing holding me back. Will it spoil the look of the Gucci belt? Anyway of getting around it? No pun intended 😊
