The Classic Coat

Good afternoon!  The holiday’s and cold(er) weather are upon us, so it’s time to buy yourself a winter coat.  Today I’m featuring two classic coats that are versatile and will keep you nice and warm.  Trendy coats are fun, but classic coats are a must.  This is what you will most likely grab the most, and will look good with any color you are wearing.  Both of the coats I’m wearing are from Nordstrom, and they have a great outerwear collection!

The black coat I am wearing has a tie with it, so you can cinch it up in the front or wear it without the tie like I’ve done.  This coat is lighter weight than the wool camel coat I’m wearing in the second look.  I did however find this black wool coat that I’m loving as well if you are looking for a heavier black coat.

Now, on to the camel coat.  This camel coat had me at the red detail under the collar.  The price is outstanding and this coat absolutely looks and feels designer.  I love the idea of wearing it with my hair pulled back and the collar flipped up.  I went with a US2 in this one for size reference and I can still wear a heavy sweater underneath.  If I had to choose between these coats (based on color) I would choose the camel because this color can carry you into spring with white jeans!
