Biker Shorts Guide | Lululemon, Alo & Beyond Yoga Review

Hi friends! Here to update my biker shorts guide for 2021! I am still wearing the same 3 pairs from last year, but added a new pair that I am loving. It’s the same lululemon align biker shorts, but just in the 8″.

After showing lots of outfits on how to wear biker shorts, I got several questions about the difference between the lululemon, Alo and Beyond Yoga biker shorts I have. I thought it would be helpful to share the comparisons and talk about what makes each different from the other along with my personal preference after trying on all three. Before I dive into each pair, here is a quick overview of the three biker shorts I’ll be reviewing:

Lululemon Align Biker Short Review

The material of these is similar to the Beyond Yoga shorts. I would describe the feel as buttery and soft. These shorts are available in 4, 6, 8 and 10 inch and in a ton of different color options. I’m wearing the 6″ in the outfit above and I just bought the 8″ in both black and white (shown below).

Alo High Waist Biker Short Review

At the end of the day, these Alo biker shorts are my favorite. If you guys have not bought a pair of bike shorts yet and you’re wanting just an all-round basic, I suggest getting the Alo pair. I love the length and fit of them. It comes to about mid-thigh and for reference, I am just under 5’7″. Another plus is I think these Alo shorts offer the most compression of the three. It also comes in a lot of color options.

Beyond Yoga High Waist Biker Short Review

Next to Alo, these are my favorite. I LOVE my full length Beyond Yoga leggings. If you guys have a pair, you know exactly what I’m talking about – so, so soft. These are even softer than the lululemon alight shorts. The fit is flattering and offers compression as well. These are my longest pair. They’re longer in length than the Alo shorts, but just by a little bit.

Takeaways:

wearing xs,  softer than the lululemon align shorts, hits a tad longer than mid-thigh
