Jean shopping is hard at as it is – especially with so many styles/cuts to choose from and then adding on the difficulty of shopping online and not being able to try them on in person. I think it’s most helpful seeing the jeans on an actual person versus an online stock model photo. When it comes to jeans, I don’t stray from AGOLDE and Levi’s. I’ve found these two brands to be the best in terms of quality, fit and style for denim. I shared and saved a highlight on stories of my AGOLDE and Levi’s try-on, but I wanted you guys to have this post as a point of reference for finding the perfect jeans for you.

AGOLDE Ripley Mid Rise Straight Jeans
Wash: Tissue | Size: 25 – tts
These jeans are fitted through the thighs and flares slightly at the bottom making them super flattering. They look great with sandals, sneakers and mules. If you prefer a higher rise jean that’s similar to this style, check out the “Pinch” jeans down below.
AGOLDE Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jeans
Wash: Zephyr | Size: 25 – tts
For cropped jeans, these go slightly longer than most. I also have these in the “Renewal Wash“. I don’t have a photo in them, but they are nearly identical (light wash and same length). The main difference between them is this one has a frayed cut-off hem whereas the renewal wash has a regular cropped hem. Do I need both pair? Probably not! But I’m justifying it because the renewal wash is better for dressing up and the zephyr wash with the frayed hem is better suited for casual looks. 🙂
AGOLDE Pinch Waist Hi Rise Kick Jeans
Wash: Vinegar | Size: 25 – tts
Out of the three white AGOLDE jeans I have, these are probably the most dressy. You could definitely dress them up as business casual. The length and the slight flare at the bottom makes them perfect for heels. These are almost identical to the Ripley Mid Rise Jeans except these are high rise.
AGOLDE Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jeans
Wash: Blurred | Size: 25 – tts
If you are looking for a true pair of white jeans, these are the ones! They are a true stark white and have a raw edged hem.
AGOLDE Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jeans
Wash: Shatter | Size: 26 – tts
These jeans are super comfortable, making them a favorite of mine! The light wash and slight distressing is perfect for spring.

Levi’s Wedgie High Waist Straight Jeans
Wash: Uncovered Truth | Size: 26 – tts
These are fitted in the hips and thighs and will feel snug initially, but I found that they do stretch a bit after wearing and washing them. If you’re concerned about them being too tight or if you have curves, consider sizing up one and see how you like the fit. I love these though!
Levi’s Wedgie Ripped Straight Leg Jeans
Wash: Authentically Yours | Size: 27 – runs small // I sized up one
These are probably my most-worn pair of Levi’s. These jeans are supposed to be similar to the pair above, however I ordered my usual size 26 in these and they were so tight! I ended up sizing up to a 27 and they fit much better. Other key differences between the two wedgie styles – these are a lighter wash and the hem isn’t frayed at the bottom. They periodically go on sale. I I saw them on sale for 25% off a few months ago (I always share sale finds on my stories!).
Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans in Can’t Touch This
Wash: Can’t Touch This | Size: 26 – tts
These are one of the two skinny jeans I always reach for (the other one just below). They hit at my ankle and I often style these jeans with booties or sneakers.
Levi’s 721 High Rise Distressed Skinny Jeans
Wash: Rugged Indigo | Size: 26 – tts
These were my first pair of Levi’s ever. I’ve had them for years. In the fall/winter, they’re my go-to jeans that I pair with over the knee boots and you can still see the rips at the knees with them on. Of course, they also go great with sneakers or sandals in spring/summer.
Levi’s 501 Original Fit Ripped Jeans in Luxor Street
Wash: Luxor Street | Size: 26 – tts
These were the newest style for fall 2019. The stock photo online shows the model wearing it un-cuffed, but these are the only pair that I like to wear rolled up with booties and heels. It does have a cool frayed slight step-hem if you wear them as is though!

I also have the Levi 501 straight leg jeans in a size 25, which were a little tight initially. I want to purchase the Agolde Riley in shatter. I was wondering if they stretch – I’ve heard mixed reviews stating they run small and larger.
I’d appreciate your advice.

I wear a 25 in most Agolde and 26 in Levi’s. So I would suggest sizing down!
