Hi everyone! I often get questions about what I eat, my workout routine, and my daily schedule. Since I am a creature of habit, I can actually combine all of these questions in one post! This will be Monday through Friday only since the weekends are usually spent eating junk, not working out, and going to the boys’ sports activities and birthday parties 🙂
My Typical Monday Morning Schedule
5:45 AM – Alarm goes off. I hit snooze for 30 minutes.
6:15 AM – I wake up, head to the kitchen for coffee. The boys wake up shortly after. Fynn and Ely make their own breakfast while I get snacks ready and make Fynn’s lunch. Zander wakes up at 6:45. I make his breakfast and get his bag ready.
7:05 AM – Fynn catches the bus.
7:30 AM – Mark heads out and takes Ely and Zander to school on his way to work.
8:00 AM– I eat breakfast. Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel Bread with peanut butter spread on top, and two eggs. I work while I eat and continue working until barre.
9:30 AM – Barre. I go to The Bar Method. I started going to barre back in September and I don’t think I have ever loved a workout this much!
10:30 AM – go to the grocery store on the way home from barre. I try to buy everything I need for the week. This rarely happens so I will have to make one or two more trips throughout the week.
11:30 AM – I eat the same bar everyday 🙂 It is this KIZE bar Almond Butter flavor and I am obsessed!
What I Wear to Barre Class
These two tops are the ones I wear to workout and I have all the colors! (Carbon 38 Rally Tank & GapFit Open-Back Tank) I pretty much only wear these Alo leggings and they come in a ton of colors as well. My pullover is from Amazon (only $16) and love that it has an oversized fit – so comfy! Lastly, I have two different no show socks that I absolutely love because they actually stay on! Not only do I wear them for barre, I wear them anytime I wear sneakers. This one has more coverage and this one has a little bit less. You can see all of the current activewear I’m loving lately – here.
Monday Afternoon/Evening Schedule
11:30 AM – 3:00 PM – Work. I do not take any photos on Mondays. Instead, I get caught up on email, campaigns, and work on my content calendar. Basically, I get myself organized.
I eat a late lunch around 2:30 PM. I like eating this late because if I don’t, I want to eat the entire pantry by 4:00/4:30. On Monday’s, I will run and grab something and bring it home. As most of you know this is either Chick-Fil-A or Chipotle.. HA! I used to eat leftovers from dinner the night before but now that the boys eat SO much, we never have leftovers anymore!
3:15 PM– Fynn gets home and we chat about his day. He gets started on homework, then plays so I can get a bit more work done.
4:00 PM – Ely and Zander get dropped off from school. My Mother in Law picks them up on Mon, Wed, and Fri.
At this point, my most productive time of my work day is finished. Sometimes if they have practices, I will be able to work a bit here and there, but “working” when all 3 are home is next to impossible!!
Ely swims Mon-Fri from 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM. We get home at 6 and I start dinner. I send the boys up to shower and they’re allowed to watch TV until dinner is ready (usually around 6:45). I cook Monday to Wednesday & Thursday is leftover night. Don’t forget to check out my recipes (here). I post a new one every week!
We typically start our bedtime routine for the boys at 7:30 PM for an 8:00 PM bedtime.
I am in bed myself around 8:30 PM! Mark studies, I do a little work, watch some tv and then it’s lights out at 10:00 PM.
Tuesday Schedule
The rest of the week looks very similar. I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch every single day :). Tuesdays are also typical. I take the day off from working out and shoot a bunch of looks on Tuesdays! I leave the house at 2:30 for carpool that starts at 3 for Zander and then 3:30 for E. Of course, I drive through Chick-Fil-A on my way! Zander has tennis on Tuesdays, Fynn has tennis on Wednesdays, and baseball or soccer (depending on the season) on Thursdays. Ely also plays soccer in the fall and spring however swimming is #1 so he goes to soccer when he can.
Wednesday-Friday Schedule
The rest of my week is pretty much a repeat! On Wednesday I go to barre again and Thursday I run 2.5 miles in the neighborhood. Friday I like to go to barre as well but it just depends because I shoot a ton of looks on Friday to have for over the weekend, and Ely gets out of school at 2:30 on Fridays so it is a really short day.
A Note on Screen Time
I have mentioned before, but I do not let my kids have any iPad or Xbox time Mon-Thurs & very minimal TV time. When they get home on Friday they are allowed to play on their devices. We call it iPad Friday and I think we ALL look forward to it! I get more work done and usually pour a glass of wine while I finish up shooting.
As you can see, I’m very hands-on with the boys. I want to be involved with their practices and homework so I try my best to juggle it all. Some days I feel super ahead and others 1 million steps behind, but I have learned and am still learning it all works itself out. I have 2 girls who work for me now and that has also allowed me to spend more time with the boys when they get home from school without feeling overwhelmed that I am getting behind with work. I also try not to beat myself up anymore if I forget something for the boys like signing a form, pajama day at school,1etc. Mom guilt is a real thing!!! I try to instill in them that they are responsible for remembering these things as well. I can’t tell you all how excited I am for Zander to be joining Fynn next year at the same school. It will definitely take a load off and I hope to be more involved and volunteer more.
Thank you all so much for following along and even caring what my typical day looks like!! My journey to blogging and getting to know all of you has been nothing short of amazing. I thought it would be fun to share how I got started blogging in this post. Feel free to take a look 🙂
Love you guys!

I’m impressed! You should be proud of yourself with all that you achieve in a weeks time. It is nice to hear you’re raising responsible young men.
