Can y’all believe the 4th of July is next weekend?! This summer is FLYING by. I always feel like after the 4th of July it goes even faster, and before you know it, we’re already talking about going back to school. I love planning outfits for all the Independence Day festivities… from casual pool days to evening patio parties, there is always something fun to do! I wanted to share some outfit ideas with you to help you plan what to wear, whether you’re going to a local festival with the kids or beating the heat at the pool or lake.
White jeans (26) // Denim top (small) // Striped top (small) // Lipstick (Lady Danger)
White jeans are a summer staple for me, and they are perfect for the 4th of July! You can easily pair them with a red or blue top, whichever you prefer. I don’t wear a ton of red, so I went with this classic denim top and another striped top that is subtle but still festive. I love adding a red lip in my all-time favorite red shade for a pop of color.
This look is definitely Americana, and I would wear it for an outdoor festival or to listen to some live music. I know a lot of people have fairs and carnivals happening in their towns, so this would be too cute! You can pair the dress with sandals too if cowboy boots aren’t your thing. Add a red lip to finish the look off!
Sweater (small) // Jeans (26) // Sandals
This sweater is a fun Amazon find for under $30. I would wear it with denim shorts too! It’s perfect for watching the fireworks at night when it’s cooled off some. It comes in a bunch of different colors and patterns that would all work during the 4th of July.
Coverup top (small) // Shorts // Hat
I love this coverup top so much! I’m actually going to wear it over a white swimsuit when we go out on the boat next weekend. But you definitely don’t have to wear it as a coverup, it’s adorable tucked into denim shorts too. This hat is one of my summer faves and is a great staple at an affordable price.
I also put together a few more outfit ideas for you to shop or gather inspiration from when shopping your own closet ❤
What are your plans for the 4th of July? Do you go all out and dress super festive or do you keep it more low-key?! Let me know which looks inspires you!
xo, Jaime
