I’m partnering with Nordstrom today to share products from two of my favorite categories, aside from fashion, that have become apart of my everyday routine: the skin-changing La Mer Moisturizing Cream and my all-time favorite Diptyque candle I use in our home. I have also been wanting to try out Diptyque’s 34 Scented Candle recently. With Nordstrom’s easy order online and pick-up in store perk, I was able to get it the same day. My thoughts on the new scent below!
La Mer Moisturizing Cream
If you have followed my beauty posts in the past, you may know that I think the La Mer Moisturizing Cream is a total game-changer. It’s a bit of a beauty splurge, but it’s worth the price. You don’t need to use a lot of product with each use. To give you some perspective, I use this in my daily nighttime skincare routine and repurchase it maybe twice a year.
Benefits:
- evens out skin tone
- soothes, moisturizes and helps heal dryness
- improves firmness and reduces the appearance of lines, wrinkles and the look of pores
How I Apply:
After I remove my makeup from the day and apply a serum, I will scoop just a little bit of the moisturizing cream (remember, a little goes a long way!) on one finger and rub together to start activating the product. I’ll then gently apply it allover my face. Also, don’t forget your neck! You’ll notice how amazing it feels on the skin and you’ll even see an instant glow just after your first application.
Diptyque Feu de Bois // Wood Fire Scented Candle
Next up is one of my all-time favorite candles. The Diptyque Feu de Bois has a lush fall/winter scent that smells wonderful – perfect for the months to come to make you feel extra cozy. It does a great job of filling our home without being too overpowering. The jars even make a great addition to your home interior. I’m thinking it fits perfectly next to my fall fireplace pumpkin arrangement or even as a new addition on the mantle.
Tips on Burning Candles
- It’s recommended to leave your candle burning for 2 hours during its first use
- Trim about 1/4″ of the wick before you burn the candle to prevent carbon from accumulating on the candle wick
- It’s best to not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time
- When there is only 1/2″ of wax remaining, it’s time to say goodbye to your candle and get a new one
Diptyque 34 Scented Candle
Packaging: The packaging was slightly different to what was shown online. Instead of the white box, it came in the same design as the little drawstring bag. I thought the pouch was a nice touch. This would make an awesome gift for any occasion.
Scent: Its online description describes it as “fresh, green and spicy accords” and “neither feminine nor masculine” as it doesn’t smell too sweet and could suit everyone’s preference.
Design: Not only do I burn candles for its obvious reasons – the scent, but I also incorporate it into my home decor so the design of the candle is just as important to me as the scent. I do like that this one is all white so it can really be easily placed anywhere.
I love covering all things fashion, home and beauty. Are there any specifics topics you want to see? I’d love to hear your suggestions! Feel free to drop a comment below or send me a message on Instagram.
xo, Jaime
