It’s kind of hard to imagine for those of us living in the south that fall is on the horizon. Realistically, it always seems like one day it’s scorching hot, the next we get maybe one week of ‘fall-like’ weather and then it gets freezing cold. I wanted to stay on top of it and share one of my favorite fall trends for 2019: the pleated midi skirt. It’s truly a piece that can be worn for all occasions from casual to formal and can be styled to fit whatever look you’re going for (feminine, chic, work appropriate etc.).

How to Style a Pleated Midi Skirt for Fall
There is really no going wrong with styling a sweater half tucked or fully untucked with your midi skirt. If you’re wearing a slightly oversized sweater and want to wear it untucked, you can always grab a belt and cinch it at the waist. When it comes to footwear, my general rule of thumb is the following: sneakers if you’re going for casual, heels for work or for a formal occasion (like these ones), and booties could be worn for both casual and work (I’m wearing these Marc Fisher booties). You can also wear it belted with a cami and moto jacket! This suede moto jacket from BLANKNYC is my favorite. They have some of the best styles! I also got this Faux Leather Moto Jacket from Topshop during the NSale that I love as well.
Here are several sweater options to pair with your midi skirt. I’m going with creams/whites/ivories as they can easily be matched.

Animal print is always on trend every year for fall. Knock two trends out in one with this leopard midi skirt. There are so many great options out there, but I rounded up 10 of the cutest ones I’ve come across below that come in fun prints, a variety of effortless fabrics and colors you’ll be obsessed with this fall.
