Happy Friday! The week after vacation is always rough, am I right?! So Friday is much needed. Cheers to the weekend! I have already rounded up all my outfits from our recent trip to Cabo here on the blog, so if you missed it check out part 1 and part 2 first!
I also wanted to do a recap of our trip, from where we stayed to restaurants we recommend. Our trip was split into 2 parts, as we stayed at a resort first and then at a friend’s condo. We had an amazing time. We’ve been to Cabo before and will always recommend it for a beach vacation!!
WHERE TO STAY
The resort we stayed at when we first arrived was Garza Blanca. We absolutely loved it… it was one of the best all-inclusive resorts we have ever stayed at. It was family friendly which was super important since the boys were with us. So much for them to do and stay busy having fun!
It’s pricey but totally worth it in every way. Our room was comfortable, the food was great, and the drinks were amazing (top shelf liquor too!). I especially loved the spicy margs and y’all know I am picky about my spicy margs!
The lunches by the pool were delicious and sooo convenient to have a yummy option nearby so we could spend more time at the pool. We ate at both the sushi restaurant and the steakhouse… the sushi was my favorite. There is also an adults only rooftop where Mark and I had lunch one day. It’s really nice at these kinds of all-inclusive resorts to have sections for adults only so you and your spouse can sneak away for a bit!
For the second half of our trip we stayed at our friend’s condo in Pedregal. You can rent their amazing place here! Talk about an incredible view. We loved the location. It felt super safe and you could walk to a lot of places.
WHERE TO EAT
Los Barriles – We ate here twice because it was that good! Once for breakfast and then for dinner. I had the verde chicken enchiladas and the boys had steak and fish.
Flora Farms – This place is GORGEOUS, but we arrived a little too late at 8:00PM when it was already dark so we couldn’t enjoy the scenery much. I highly recommend going earlier and walking around first.
The Office on the Beach – This is a restaurant on the beach we had lunch at. Let’s just say it was an experience 😂
Sur Beach House – We liked this place more than The Office. Great food and you get waited on while laying out! If you aren’t staying at an all-inclusive resort this is an awesome option.
I also recommend that when you make reservations at The Office or Sur Beach House that you ask to be further back from the beach because people will try to sell you things all day. Just an FYI!
SHOPPING & EXCURSIONS
The best shopping was by the marina in downtown Cabo. I found so many cute things!
We also chartered a boat one day with Blue Sky. They were great so if this is something you would be interested in, definitely check them out! They made us breakfast on the boat and provided drinks for the kids and adults. I loved that it was private, we had 13 people and it was more than enough room.
We were long overdue for a big family vacation to the beach, and Cabo did not disappoint! If you’re looking for somewhere new to visit for your next vacation, Cabo would be perfect. Let me know if you have any questions about our stay in the comments! I’d love to answer and help you plan your next beach trip!
xo, Jaime
