Happy Friday! Businesses are starting to open back up here in Dallas, but things definitely don’t feel “normal” yet by any means. I’ve mentioned this before, but taking the time to get dressed and get ready even if I’m not going anywhere really helps me. Not to mention, I know many of you are working from home and zoom meetings are the new norm. With that, I wanted to share a staple item that I wear year-round that can be dressed up or down. Here are 3 ways to style a blazer that you can wear now and later.
The blazer that I’m wearing is actually an old piece that I’ve had for awhile and no longer available so here a couple super similar options.
Shop White Blazers:
How to Wear a Blazer with Denim Shorts
To start off, the first way to style a blazer is pairing it with shorts. It’s perfect for the weather if you’re living somewhere that’s warm right now. Instead of denim shorts, you can also make it less casual by wearing a blazer with dressy shorts. The paperbag shorts and belted style is super cute as well. I also recently grabbed this sweater tank from Target and it’s a great basic! The square neckline is so flattering. Throw on a few necklaces to layer and you have your first blazer outfit. If you have a zoom meeting coming up, this is a good outfit option. Dressy and formal up top, but casual bottoms 🙂
How to Wear a Blazer with White Jeans
I love an (almost) all-white outfit! Instead of doing pure white on white, you can break up the colors by adding in a neutral cream or tan item. Aside from the blazer, another staple item I wear all year-round is a lace trim cami because you can always wear it alone or layered and works with so many different outfits. I could definitely switch out the tops from the first and last outfit with this cami and it would work. I love the distressing at the knees and hem of the white jeans and again, the gold layered necklaces are a good call for accessories.
How to Wear a Blazer with Distressed Jeans
Last but not least, you can wear a blazer with a casual graphic tee and a pair of distressed jeans. This is a go-to look for me in the fall. If the weather is cooler, I will switch out a lightweight blazer for one with a thicker material but it still achieves the same look! The jeans are arguably one of my favorite pairs. I put together a whole blog post reviewing the different styles of jeans I always reach for in this blog post. The Golden Goose sneakers are a finishing touch for this look. I wear these sneakers all year-round too. They are pricey, but so worth it! I wrote about everything you need to know about them – here. I’m also linking a couple of similar graphic tees:
