Our pantry and refrigerator is consistently stocked with groceries from Trader Joe’s. Anytime we visit Park City, we always do a TJ’s run. So it may go without saying that we have our favorites and essentials now. Below I’m sharing 14 of the best Trader Joe’s foods from healthy desserts, the kids’ favorite after school snacks and lunch/dinner options for those days you just need a quick bite!
Favorite Snacks & Healthy Desserts from Trader Joe’s
Cookie Butter Sandwich Cookies – My favorite cookies and dessert! I wish these were “healthy” because I can eat a whole box of these.
Almond Croissants – these are so good! Leave them out overnight and you’ll see that they grow in size by morning (I’ll show you what I mean below). Then all you do is bake them for 20 minutes and they’re ready to eat. They taste fresh as if you’re buying them straight from a bakery.
Gone Bananas & Gone Berry Crazy – These are healthy bite-sized dessert option that I love!
Organic Roasted Teriyaki Seaweed – Zander’s favorite after school snack! They’re individually packed so they’re great for snacks on the go.
Potato Pancakes – I make these for the kids’ after school snacks. Ely likes to add the Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter on them!
Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups – Here is another healthier dessert option. My boys are huge fans of dark chocolate so they love these. I don’t love particularly like dark chocolate, but I think these are really good!!
Kettle Cooked Potato Chips – These are Fynn’s favorite after school snack.
Macaron aux Framboises (Raspberry Macaron) – This is a seasonal but OMG. I look for it every time I’m there. I believe it’s a spring/summer item so it should be in your local TJ’s soon if it’s not already there!
Gluten Free Norwegian Crispbread – A healthy snack I like to top with mashed avocado!
Organic Jalapeno Limade Mix – Obviously not a snack ???? but this needed to be included in the must-try Trader Joe’s items. I love this mix! It’s also a seasonal item.
Favorite Food for Lunch & Dinner from Trader Joe’s
- Carrot Spirals – I also grab the Trader Joe’s Zucchini Spirals to make with this. You just throw them in a skillet, heat them up on the stove and add whatever spices you want. I mix both together and put meat sauce on top as an alternative to pasta.
- Chicken Mushroom Pelmeni – Super good! The boys eat this for dinner when we have a date night. They love it.
- Organic Brown Rice – This one is a game-changer! I used to make rice on the stove until I tried these out. It’s SO easy. You pop them in the microwave for 3 minutes and you’re left with the best tasting brown rice ever.
- Turkey Corn Dogs – I make this for the boys’ lunches. They love them!
What are your favorites from Trader Joe’s? Let me know!!
