Why Neutrals Are My Go-To

If you’ve ever seen my closet or have seen the clothes rack in the background of my office photos, you’ve probably noticed all of the neutrals hung on the hangers. Very rarely will you find me sharing anything out of my usual color palette with the exception of something with a pop of color every now and then. I sway towards beiges, tans, etc. because of how versatile and easy it is to dress. I know for most of us, we don’t want to spend more than x amount of time putting together an outfit in the morning because we all have things to do and need to get the day going.

For the fashionista in your life, you can’t go wrong with gifting a neutral sweater. I’m sharing two neutral sweaters that both have such fun details. They’re both on sale and under $40! Nordstrom has a huge selection of cute sweaters so I will link a couple more options below too!

While basics are useful to have in any wardrobe, I love finding sweaters that have a little extra something in the details. I posted this sweater yesterday on Instagram. The picture looks different online than it does in person. I think it actually looks so much better in person. I’m a huge fan of the gathered shoulders and balloon sleeves. It’s also not so thick to where you can still tuck it into jeans without feeling like you’re tucking in too much material. Plus, it’s 40% right now making it under $40 and so affordable. Here is another neutral-tone not-so-basic sweater! Love the seam details on the front and back and the ribbed cuffs. It’s thicker than the first sweater, but you can still easily do a half tuck since it has a slightly cropped fit. It looks great paired with high waisted jeans. Speaking of, they’re 65% off right now which I am still in disbelief! I thought it was a typo. I also wanted to talk about my new booties really quick. I just got them in the other day and I’m obsessed with them! They’re similar to the combat boots I’ve shared before with the studs, buckles and overall edgy style. But I know combat boots aren’t for everyone which is why I was excited to find these studded booties! Even with the heel, they are actually super comfortable. Maybe not for a day long walk around the city, but definitely good for something like a night out.
