I am a born and bred Texas girl who has lived and breathed fashion for about as long as I can remember. I worked in the fashion industry for many years after graduating from TCU- first with Neiman Marcus, then with Fossil Corporate. Now, I am a stay at home Mom to three little, very busy boys and want to carry on my love of fashion with this blog, personal styling, and closet revamps (see styling packages page for more details).
My first memory of fashion was when I was at the mall with my Mom and I kept seeing women with a bag that had the letters LV on it. I told my Mom “see Mom, that is the purse I have been telling you I want.” My Mom of course wanted to make me happy, so went to see who made the purse. Once she did a little research, she found out it was a Louis Vuitton for way more money than she would even spend on herself… much less an 8 year old girl who had no business carrying one. My Mom told me one day maybe I could afford to buy one for myself.
Fast forward about 15 years and I remember that glorious day that I had finally saved up enough money from my first job out of college to buy my first Louis Vuitton.
If I’m running late and have to choose between a cute outfit or putting make-up on… I would hands down spend the time on choosing the outfit and forgo the makeup.
I don’t wear clothes or shoes that display the brand or designer who makes them.
I love mixing an inexpensive piece with a higher ticket item, especially when the inexpensive piece can be confused for designer! For example – a pair of Forever 21 shoes I snatched up that would pass in a heartbeat as Valentino’s.
I am constantly asked who my favorite designer is, and you would think that I have one…But I don’t! It depends on the season, the collection, my latest favorite find, etc. So if I have to be nailed down to an answer, I would say I consistently like Philip Lim and Chloe from season to season.
I hope you all find my blog inspiring and helpful to your own life and closet!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by
